Dev Ops Engineer working towards a Single Digit Handicap

About Me

I was born just outside of Cleveland, raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, lived in Cincinnati for 5 years after graduating high school, then moved to Denver after graduating college. After living in Denver for 10 years, and Covid changing the landscape of what the parameters were for my type of position, I decided to become a digital nomad. I have been all over the country with only the stuff I could fit in my car. I’ve got 2 nephews, one is exploring South America, the other is probably a better golfer than you and he hasn’t even started learning multiplcation tables. As of May 5th, I am in Denver until June, and just like 2 years ago, I start heading east. Only this time, I will have already golfed in every state I drive through. There are some states I would like to go to in order to play a better course, or maybe get a lower score for the state.

My Career

I am a digital nomad that is working on golfing all 50 states. I started as a DotNet developer back when dotnet only ran on Windows. As the dotnet stack grew across platforms, as did my interest in other platforms. I have been working in the DevOps space for the last 5 years. Only the past 2 years was it exclusively Terraform, Jenkins, and AWS.

My Game

I have been working on my golf game for the past 10 years. I have been golfing for 20 years. I have been to 40 states and golfed in 30 of them. I am working on golfing all 50 states. I have a goal of getting my handicap to single digits. I am currently a 12.5. I have been as low as 11.5. I have been as high as 14.5. I am currently working on my short game. I am also working on my mental game.
